11th Airborne Monument at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery This monument was dedicated 5-11-02 by men of the 11th Airborne division in honor of all who served in the division. Some of those present at the dedication took part in the raid on Los Banos, the Philippines to free prisoners of the Japanese during World War Two. The statue is made of bronze. It stands 6 feet 2 inches tall, the pedestal adds another 18 inches to its height. These photos were taken the day after the dedication. Click on the image below to see it full size.
